The Health Research Council for People of African Descent (HRCPAD) is a public foundation dedicated to advancing Black health research and addressing the persistent health inequities faced by Black Canadians. We conduct and promote research focused on the impact of Anti-Black racism, institutional barriers, and systemic obstacles to equitable healthcare access.

Our work seeks to uplift diverse Black communities across Canada and the African diaspora by fostering the growth of knowledge, identifying best practices, and highlighting promising solutions to improve health outcomes. At HRCPAD, we are committed to enhancing understanding of the unique challenges faced by Black individuals and communities, striving to create an environment where equitable healthcare practices thrive. Through collaboration, advocacy, and evidence-based research, we are paving the way for a healthier, more inclusive future.
